Privacy policy
Last updated: 3 September 2026
In short. ZighiRun has no third-party advertising, uses no advertising identifiers, does not track people and sells data to nobody. What the game knows about you stays on your phone and, if you have a store account, in a cloud copy tied to that account whose only job is to give you your progress back.
Who processes the data
The data controller is Federico Di Bari, author and developer of ZighiRun. For anything about this policy: info@zighirun.com.
Which data, and where it goes
| Data | Where it goes | When |
|---|---|---|
| Progress, records, settings, collection | On the device and, if you have a Google Play Games (Android) or Game Center (iPhone) account, in a cloud copy tied to that account (service Unity Cloud Save, Unity Technologies) | The cloud copy only starts after you have accepted the terms, and updates with every bit of progress. Its job is to give your progress back when you reinstall the game: it holds neither your name nor anything about the device, and only the game reads it |
| Score and chosen name | The online leaderboard service | Only if you ask to take part. A freshly installed game is out of the leaderboards and sends nothing |
| Gender and age range | The online leaderboard service | Optional, sent only if you give them |
| Country | The online leaderboard service | Taken from the device settings |
| Update check (no data about you) | The website zighirun.com: the game downloads two small service files, the version published on the stores and the texts of the book panel | At every start-up. The request carries no data about you; as with any visit to a website the server sees the IP address, which I neither keep nor use |
| Advertising identifiers | None | The game contains no third-party advertising |
Why I process this data, and on what basis
- Progress, records, settings and collection — they make the game work and let you find your progress again. Legal basis: performance of the service you ask for by using the app (art. 6.1.b GDPR).
- Score and chosen name, and if you give them gender and age range — they are what makes the leaderboards and their statistics exist. Legal basis: your consent (art. 6.1.a), given by joining the leaderboards with one tap and withdrawn by leaving with another. A freshly installed game is out.
- Update check — no data about you travels in that request.
How long it is kept
- On the phone: as long as you keep the game installed, or until you use RESET ALL.
- In the cloud: until you delete it with RESET ALL, which removes the cloud copy first and the phone one after. There is no automatic expiry.
- On the leaderboards: the leaderboards are not reset periodically, so the score stays until you ask for it to be taken down. Leaving stops every submission but does not delete what was already sent — which is why the game shows you the save code, the thing that says which row to remove.
Who receives it, and whether it leaves the European Union
Leaderboards and cloud save run on Unity Gaming Services by Unity Technologies, which processes that data as a processor on my behalf and only to make those two things work. There are no other recipients: I do not sell data, I do not pass it to advertisers, and there are no third-party ad networks in the game.
Unity is a company based in the United States: leaderboard and cloud save data may therefore be processed outside the European Union. The transfer takes place under the terms of Unity's data processing agreement (Data Processing Addendum), which is part of the service terms.
If you are under 13
If you say you are under thirteen, only the score goes to the leaderboard: no name, no country, no age range. That is a rule written into the game, not a promise.

Your rights
Over your personal data you have the right of access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability and objection, and you can withdraw consent at any time. Here is what that means in practice, because in a game like this the answer is simpler than usual.
- Your progress — records, settings, collection — stays on the phone and, if you have a store account, in a cloud copy that I do not look at. To delete it all, phone and cloud together, open TERMS & CONDITIONS from the game's OPTIONS and use RESET ALL at the bottom of the page: you do it yourself, right away, without writing to anyone. Uninstalling the game only deletes the copy on the phone. If you would rather write, quote the save code the game shows on that same page: it is the only way to tell which copy is yours.
- The leaderboard data — score, chosen name, and possibly gender, age range and country — is the only data about you that leaves the device, and only if you ask: a freshly installed game is out of the leaderboards. You join and leave with one tap, at the bottom of the LEADERBOARDS panel: when you leave nothing more is sent, straight away, without asking anyone and without waiting for an answer. The score already sent stays on the service and remains visible in the leaderboard, because the app cannot delete it: that one is taken down on request, with REQUEST REMOVAL at the bottom of the game's TERMS page or by writing to info@zighirun.com with the save code. You can change the name whenever you like.
- There is no profiling, no personalised advertising and no automated decisions concerning you.
If you believe that the processing of your data infringes the European Regulation, you may lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority — in Italy the Garante per la protezione dei dati personali (garanteprivacy.it).
Changes
If this policy changes, the date at the top changes with it, and the version of the terms inside the game is raised.
